They conducted a skin scraping to further diagnose her and it turns out that she had demodectic mange, which she was promptly given medication for. They administered a medicated bath and cleaned her up.
Within ten days, her hair began regrowing, and the infections on her face were improving nicely. At this point her skin was appearing much healthier, but she still had a long way to go. She received a vaccination and then was sent to reside with a foster.
One week later, her scabbing had disappeared and her skin was no longer inflamed. Not too long after, she was finally fully healed! She looked like a completely new dog! And the best news is that her foster was fostering to adopt, so they are simply awaiting the paperwork to clear before it officially becomes her forever home! Her new family also named her HoneyBee, which aligns with her sweet personality!
