Roseanne BarrĀ has become the latest celebrity to try out a brand new look, having taken to social media to flaunt a hairstyle that prompted a host of reactions from her fan base.

The concept of celebrities playing around with their appearances and testing new things is hardly a novel one, but that doesnā€™t mean that it fails to draw interest. On the contrary, the ever-changing stylistic choices of the worldā€™s A-listers is a source of intrigue and gossip for many, so itā€™s hardly surprising that people had a lot to say when Roseanne Barr showed off her new pixie haircut.

The 71-year-old Barr took toĀ InstagramĀ to post pictures of her new do, replacing her long, gray locks with a textured pixie cut, accompanied with the captionĀ ā€œCut.ā€

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the comedian and actressā€™s post garnered plenty of attention, with the vast majority of commenters only having nice things to say.

ā€œWow makes you look younger and hot!!!!ā€ wrote one person.

Another said: ā€œI love it. You and I are the same age. Iā€™ve always had long hair but lately Iā€™ve been thinking of cutting it. Now that Iā€™ve seen how good you look I just might do it.ā€œ

ā€œBeautiful Roseanne! Keep waking people up!!! We love you so much,ā€Ā wrote a third.

Others left comments such asĀ ā€œLooks incredible Roseanne!ā€ andĀ ā€œLOVE the hair!!!ā€

As per reports,Ā the hairstylist behind Barrā€™s transformation is one Andre Walker, who also works with the likes of actress Halle Berry and TV icon Oprah Winfrey.

In the late 1980s, Barr rose to megastardom after portraying Roseanne Conner in ABCā€™s sitcomĀ Roseanne. The idea for the popular series came when the producers ofĀ The Cosby ShowĀ wanted to do ā€œno-perks family comedy.ā€

WhenĀ RoseanneĀ premiered in 1998, the first episode was watched by 21 million households ā€“ the best debut that year. All told,Ā RoseanneĀ was an enormous success, running for a total of ten seasons. In addition, Barr won several awards, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

In more recent years, Barr encountered a significant setback when a tweet comparing former President Barack Obamaā€™s advisor Valerie Jarrett to an ape led to the cancellation of her show.

Despite being an open supporter of former President Donald Trump, Barr attributed her inappropriate joke to bad health and emotional imbalance, expressing regret for the misstep, perĀ People. In the aftermath, she retreated from the public eye for several weeks. Responding to the criticism, Barr publicly apologized.

Even so, a planned revival ofĀ RoseanneĀ ended up being canceled as a result of the backlash, and behind the scenes she underwent an immense personal transformation ā€“ both professionally and personally.
